This is relevant because it shows growing interest in alternative plant waxes beyond carnauba and candelilla. Supply availability is the biggest bottleneck. If raw wax supply depends on esparto grass processing and small extraction volumes, scale will remain limited.

Carnauba, candelilla, rice bran, sunflower, beeswax, paraffin, microcrystalline, and synthetic waxes are easier to source. Many also have stronger technical familiarity among formulators.
Restraint 3: Documentation gap
Premium buyers need data. If suppliers cannot provide specifications, safety files, residual solvent information, allergen position, and batch consistency, esparto wax will remain a niche trial ingredient rather than a repeat commercial input.
